In 1940 Yehoshua joined the “Hashomer Hatzair” movement. He was active in the underground. He left Hungary on the Relief and Rescue Committee train.
On 2.9.1945 he arrived in Eretz Israel (Palestine). Yehoshua, his wife Sarah and their daughter Shosha, who was born in Switzerland, joined Kibbutz Negba.
